13 Garam Masala Powder 1 pinch

Step By Step Process:

It is the main part of this recipe let's know the steps of making it.

#1. Need to cut the whole crab and clean well with their shells cracked. (This process can't be described in writing. Please take help from an expert at your home or refer to any video explaining the process)

#2. Rub the crabs with 1 teaspoon of turmeric powder and ½ teaspoon salt and let them marinate for 20 minutes.

#3. Heat mustard oil in a kadhai over medium heat. Add the crabs and stir fry until the color changes. It takes a time about 5-7 minutes. Remove the crabs from the oil and set them aside.

#4. Also, fry the cut potatoes and remove them from oil, and set them aside. It takes a time about 3-4 minutes.

#5. Now add onion and garlic paste to kadhai, cook, and stir over medium heat until the color changes. now add a pinch of sugar to the paste. It brings attractive colors.

#6. Now add ginger and tomato paste to it. Stir well at medium flame. Cook for 4-5 mins until the raw smell of ginger goes away.

#7. Reduce the heat to medium; add the remaining ½ teaspoon of turmeric, cumin powder, Red chili powder, and Kashmiri Red Chilli powder. Cook and stir well for an additional minute or two over high heat.

#8. Add the crabs to the kadhai and pour in just enough water to cover. Bring the water to a boil and stir in the sugar and salt to taste.

#9. After 2-3 mins add the fried potato. Cover the kadhai, reduce the heat, and simmer until the potatoes are tender and the water is reduced by half, about 10 minutes. Remove the lid, stir, and simmer until the gravy is thickened, about 5 minutes more.

#10. Spread one teaspoon of ghee over the curry and sprinkle a pinch of garam masala. Our crab curry is ready. Serve it hot with rice.
